Or more correctly, a hypocrite/Hindu hater in the guise of being an atheist, what else should I say about a person who has shown all signs of being a pseudo-atheist, but claims he is an atheist?
Yesterday, I had written about his open attack on the culture of Ram Sevaks after people suspected to be Ram Sevaks attacked his daughter’s house. Yet, he never questions the culture of muslims when they have been involved in acts of terror. This is nothing but pure hypocrisy.
As if to reiterate the point Mr. Karunannidhi has lashed out on Lord Ram yet again. This time he gives it straight to the Hindus. He has termed “Ram is as big a lie as big as the truth of the existence of the Ganges and the Himalayas", he doesn’t stop there. He wants a debate with Mr. Advani on the issue of Ram being a drunkard:"Even Valmiki has said that Ram was a drunkard. I urge Advani to get into a debate with me after reading Valmiki's Ramayana,"
All of this in reaction to Mr. Advani’s request to withdraw his statements he previously made against Lord Ram:“I want the Tamil Nadu CM to withdraw his statement about Ram. I respect Karunanidhi for being an atheist. But people at the helm of affairs do not force contempt on others as far as religious affairs are concerned,”
Well, I don’t have problems with his supposed atheism and his attitude of questioning the validity of Ramayana. But his selective criticism of Hinduism and appeasement of other religions doesn’t fit the bill for an atheist.
He returns Mr. Advani’s request to take back his statements on Ram with more attacks, but what did he do when the faith he is taking on was not Hinduism?
All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) chief, Maulana Rabey Hasni Nadwi had claimed that there's no room for family planning in Islam, instead of hitting out at against such religious nonsense, this is what he had to say:"...efforts should be taken to pacify the community and no hasty decision should be taken in matters pertaining to religion."
Holy Cow! He doesn’t even consider Hinduism as a religion apparently. How else can you explain his U-turn? When it is concerns Islam we should pacify with the Islamic community but when it comes to Hinduism it is a different story. Mr. Karunanidhi has no qualms in strecthing his own rules to fit his dubious agenda.
Not to mention his eulogy of Jesus Christ on the occasion of Christmas:"Jesus Christ was an embodiment of love, patience and tolerance. Even when he was crucified by His enemies, He was for forgiving them, stating that they did not know what they were doing. This, he said, showed His humanism."
Seems like he believes in Jesus Christ, then how can he call himself an atheist?
He seems it fitting to take a book [in this case the bible] literally as long as it is not a Hindu one. Instead of questioning the bible's claim as any rational being would do, he just parrots the bible. Can I ask Mr. Karunanidhi, in which medical college did Jesus study? How else can you explain his healing prowess?
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand Mr. Karunanidhi’s brand of atheism is nothing more than pseudo-atheism. When it comes to Hinduism he barks up a storm, but when it comes to other religions he treats them like a sacred cow. He has also granted Muslims and Christians 3.5% reservation in the State of Tamil Nadu. All responsible atheists must denounce him, lest he uses atheism as a sham to cover up his anti-hindu propaganda and bring out pearls like “Hindu means thief”, in the name of atheism.
